Hello Jello

Goodbye Pudding

House & Puppy & Kitty sitting.

Parents went away to Florida for the week. Left on Sunday before Halloween. Came back on Sunday after Halloween.

Sunday October 25: Mom woke me up before they left to say bye and stuff. J came to visit after church for a little bit. Luckily the dogs didn’t jump on him since he was all dressed nice. Did some laundry. Had a ton of laundry to do, but only did one load. J came over later and we watched ghost busters. I love the giant marshmellow guy. When I went to bed I found out my bed is not very roomy when there are two dogs and a cat who want to lay in bed with you.

Monday October 26: Arguing sucks. Really really sucks. When they don’t actually get talked about and fixed it kind of really sucks. Watched Ghost Busters 2. I forgot what this one was about. All I could remember is there was a baby. I liked it. I still like the marshmellow guy the best.

Tuesday October 27: Watched Halloweentown 1 & 2. I love Disney tv movies. Did some more laundry. Tried to figure out what I needed for my Halloween costume still.

Wednesday October 28: Stayed home by myself with the puppies. Didn’t do much.

Thursday October 29: Cleaned my car with J. It was kind of gross. I kind of hate having to clean a car that I didn’t dirty, but it looks good now so oh well. Went to the halloween store and bought the rest of my costume. I just have to glue some stuff together and then it will be all good. Watched scary tv stuff. It stormed for a little bit. Puppy was scared of thunder. Sad face. When I went to bed he smooshed himself right next to me.

Friday October 30: More laundry. Nailpolish was peeling off so I finally got around to taking it off. Was really hard to get off. Ended up pouring the nail polish remover in the lid and putting my nails in there. Even doing that it was hard to get it to come off. Justin came over later to glue my costume together. We had to glue some earrings to my garters since we couldn’t find any that I liked.

Saturday October 31: Yay! Halloween! I love Halloween. Most people like going out, but I think I like passing out candy and seeing little kids in costumes. My cousin came over to trick or treat in my neighborhood. I had to put the puppies in the basement as soon as I saw people walking outside. We didn’t get as many people as we usually get. Not sure why. After handing out candy Justin and I left to go to a party. Justin was the only person I knew and there was a friend of his there that I met once before. It was a funish party. I think I would have liked it better if I knew more people. I also would have liked it better if I was more comfortable talking to people I don’t know.

How old am I?

I am 22 years old. I have been told I look as young as 13. The oldest I have been told I look is 20. When I go to casinos I am asked for my id a few times. When having any alcohol at restaurants I always am asked for my id. When I tell people I graduated this summer they ask where I am going to college. They think I graduated from highschool. I tell them I graduated from college. Sometimes they look surprised. During my internship at the police department people asked if I was the kid of whoever I was with sometimes. I didn’t think I looked that young or they looked that old.

I want to find a job working with kids. I think I am going to be a substitute teacher. I have been told that I will probably look the same age as some of the kids. I think I need to make myself look older. I have been told with the way my hair is now (short with bangs) I look older then how I had it before (long no bangs). I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep my hair short of have it long again. Now I think I will keep it short. I do like looking younger than what I am. I don’t want to always look older, but it would be nice to seem older than the kids I would like to work with.

I was on Myspace or facebook a few days ago and I realized that my cousin is a freshman in high school. That made me feel kind of old. How is she in high school already?? Sigh.

Final police department internship thoughts:

I was really nervous at the beginning, but it really wasn’t that bad.

I got a lot better at talking to people. (Yay! for being less shy!!)

It was probably my favorite thing ever. I’m glad it was required to graduate.

For the last few weeks of so you think you can dance I won’t be able to talk about it with J. We have talked about it every week since it started. She is one of my favorites.

I think I’ll go to the picnic thingy. I don’t really want to see a dead pig, but they said they would have some potato salad I could eat. Ha.

When I told people it was my last week/day they seemed kind of surprised. I was there for over two months so I think they got kind of used to me.

One thing I liked was that I almost never had to do typical boring blagh internship things.

If I ever have to go to the police department for anything in the future I am dressing warm regardless of the weather. It was freezing in there.

I’m going to miss it there a lot.

Police Department Internship Day 30

In a car from 2pm-10pm. So far nothing too big had happened so I wasn’t thinking anything big would happen. We had some little stuff and then finally something happened. We were at a grocery store for something and on the radio they said something about a car kind of close to where we were. The car I was in and another car ended up following the van through a few Indiana towns and then into Chicago. We didn’t catch the guy because our car wasn’t close enough and the other car broke, but it was probably the most interesting thing to happen during my internship.

My weekend was better than your weekend.

…unless you were with me.

Thursday: The only people coming down Thursday were my aunt, 4 cousins, grandma, stepdad, mom, friend, and me. We had to go to Walmart to get some food and mostly just put everything away back at the house. The hotel we stayed at was ok. We thought it looked like something that would be in a movie and people get killed.

Friday: Sister and other people came. We stayed at the house. Had a lot of fun. Ate some good food. Tried to figure out what we were going to do Saturday. We thought about going to Indiana beach and going on a boat, but it was supposed to rain Saturday. We went to the sandbar. There was karaoke and music, but the guy there kind of sucked at playing good music. It was kind of terrible music, but we still had fun.

Saturday: It was rainy. It was kind of chilly. Some of us went out on a boat. It was raining the entire time, but was fun. I wanted to jump in the water, but at first no one wanted to do it. My mom was acting all worried about me drowning like duh mom I know how to swim. My parents friend said he would do it so he jumped in and then I did it after. Even after he went in and before I went in she was like saying stuff. After we told my sister it wasn’t cold she jumped in too. Sisters fiancé wouldn’t go in the water at first so I told him he was being an old man who didn’t like water. I got him to jump in. : ) We got a few pictures in the water. The only problem I had was wearing a bikini is not very good when jumping in water. The top was not staying where it should. Luckily I could fix everything under water. When we were done on the boat I was completely wet. I’m not sure if it was from going in the water or the rain. We went back to the house and ate some yummy food. I think most people still think of me as younger than what I am. There were times when I was holding a drink and they were like since when did you drink and I would be like I’m 22 and they would be like I still think of you as little. At some point during the day I decided to call my sisters fiancé by his first and middle name. At night there was a dj playing music. He played good music. We danced a lot and it was super fun. Somebody didn’t want to dance a few times so I kind of had to make him, but whatev. He was being an 80 year old man. I was calling everyone who wanted to sit and be boring an 80 year old man. At one point the dj asked if anyone graduated in 2009 and since I did I got some glasses in the shape of 2009. I wore them the rest of the night. They are kind of awesome. We stopped dancing for a little bit and went back to the house. When we came back there wasn’t really anyone dancing. I wanted to dance, but some people didn’t want to. For a few minutes the only people dancing were me and I think friends boyfriend. When we left we had to fit six people in one car. I was sitting sideways on someone lap and I don’t remember what exactly happened, but I think sisters fiancé stopped at a stop sign and I ended up hitting him in the head with my shoulder. I felt kind of bad.

Sunday: Had a little parade of cars driving home. Stopped at Fair Oaks Farm for food. Had a yummy grill cheese sandwich.

This weekend was kind of awesome. It was a super fun weekend.
