Hello Jello

Goodbye Pudding

Life after graduation.

Finally getting my license. I hate driving. I have my permit. My dad has mostly been taking me driving. I’m getting better at it but I don’t really like having to do it with him. Here’s a hint for future parents teaching their kids to drive: If you have a kid who hates driving don’t tell them about all the terrible things that could happen while they are driving. Help them drive better rather than say your going to get into a car accident and kill someone and go to jail. Also, try not to contradict yourself so much. Telling them to turn slow so that they can do it better is fine. Later telling them not to slow down because… well I’m not sure exactly, but basically try not to say opposite things when teaching someone to drive.

Things with J aren’t so good. He came back from the army thing last Friday. We were maybe going to date again. I don’t think that will be happening. I need to care less about this whole thing. I wish he cared more about it. Unfortunately I think I am being that girl that you hearing acting a certain way and think oh my gawd what is wrong with her. I need to quit that. I need a distraction…

Knitting will be my distraction. Will finally go buy stuff.

Job? Yup. I need to find one. Finding one can also be a distraction.

Family stuff: Mostly okay. The only blagh right now is the dad stuff with the driving. I don’t like driving but I really want my license so I can be done with it. Things with my sister and the fiancé are okayish. I just need to do what my mom says and ignore.

Police Department Internship Day 31

I finally got to be in the car at night. I was there from 7pm-3am. I was worried about being super tired, but I did okay. I lasted until about 230am and then I felt really tired. While I was there we had to go to two bars. The first one we weren’t really doing anything at the bar it was just in the parking lot near it. The second one was a car that was broken into at the bar. At both of them girls came out and flirted with the cops. Sorry bar girls, but regardless of how many time you tell them you’ve been bad and should be handcuffed I don’t think they are going to do.

My weekend was better than your weekend.

…unless you were with me.

Thursday: The only people coming down Thursday were my aunt, 4 cousins, grandma, stepdad, mom, friend, and me. We had to go to Walmart to get some food and mostly just put everything away back at the house. The hotel we stayed at was ok. We thought it looked like something that would be in a movie and people get killed.

Friday: Sister and other people came. We stayed at the house. Had a lot of fun. Ate some good food. Tried to figure out what we were going to do Saturday. We thought about going to Indiana beach and going on a boat, but it was supposed to rain Saturday. We went to the sandbar. There was karaoke and music, but the guy there kind of sucked at playing good music. It was kind of terrible music, but we still had fun.

Saturday: It was rainy. It was kind of chilly. Some of us went out on a boat. It was raining the entire time, but was fun. I wanted to jump in the water, but at first no one wanted to do it. My mom was acting all worried about me drowning like duh mom I know how to swim. My parents friend said he would do it so he jumped in and then I did it after. Even after he went in and before I went in she was like saying stuff. After we told my sister it wasn’t cold she jumped in too. Sisters fiancé wouldn’t go in the water at first so I told him he was being an old man who didn’t like water. I got him to jump in. : ) We got a few pictures in the water. The only problem I had was wearing a bikini is not very good when jumping in water. The top was not staying where it should. Luckily I could fix everything under water. When we were done on the boat I was completely wet. I’m not sure if it was from going in the water or the rain. We went back to the house and ate some yummy food. I think most people still think of me as younger than what I am. There were times when I was holding a drink and they were like since when did you drink and I would be like I’m 22 and they would be like I still think of you as little. At some point during the day I decided to call my sisters fiancé by his first and middle name. At night there was a dj playing music. He played good music. We danced a lot and it was super fun. Somebody didn’t want to dance a few times so I kind of had to make him, but whatev. He was being an 80 year old man. I was calling everyone who wanted to sit and be boring an 80 year old man. At one point the dj asked if anyone graduated in 2009 and since I did I got some glasses in the shape of 2009. I wore them the rest of the night. They are kind of awesome. We stopped dancing for a little bit and went back to the house. When we came back there wasn’t really anyone dancing. I wanted to dance, but some people didn’t want to. For a few minutes the only people dancing were me and I think friends boyfriend. When we left we had to fit six people in one car. I was sitting sideways on someone lap and I don’t remember what exactly happened, but I think sisters fiancé stopped at a stop sign and I ended up hitting him in the head with my shoulder. I felt kind of bad.

Sunday: Had a little parade of cars driving home. Stopped at Fair Oaks Farm for food. Had a yummy grill cheese sandwich.

This weekend was kind of awesome. It was a super fun weekend.

Police Department Internship Day 29

I was there from 6am-1pm. Today wasn’t a very busy day. I like riding in the cars, but when it’s not busy it’s not as fun. Riding in cars has definately made me more talkative. There are a few people I haven’t sat in cars with, but most of the people that I have been in a car with I have been with them a few times.

Even though I like all the people and everyone is nice and awesome I do have a favorite that I like driving with the most.

I think I have said this before, but everyone has different ways of doing things and I really like seeing how people do things different.

Police Department Internship Day 27

Was with three different officers today. Once again in a car from 6am-2pm.

Officer 1: I got to use the radar gun again. He wrote someone a ticket for speeding. I like using it. While I was holding it a car would drive by and he would say how fast he it was going. He did it with a few of the cars and he was right. He wasn’t like close he would say 31 and the radar gun said 31. One thing that he did a lot was sing the songs on the radio. He also dances while he sings sometimes. Definitely maybe the most entertaining officer. Even though we started at 6am he was very awake. We talked about tanning for kind of a whileish. He said he didn’t think he had ever talked so much about tanning. I don’t think I have ever talked about tanning very much. For lunch we had Subway again. It’s a good thing I like it because we eat there a lot. One of the girls working there thought I was his daughter. That would be the fifth time someone has thought I was an officers daughter. Ha. I made him feel old I think. Oops. I talked about one thing I never thought I would talk about with a police officer or with someone at a place where I am doing an internship at. It was kind of odd. It was only like a 1 minute talk, but it was still kind of odd. I didn’t really think about it until later, but it was kind of weird to talk about at an internship.

Officer 2: He stopped someone for something and I got to write out the warning. He wrote someone a ticket because of thier license plate.

Officer 3: Went to a house because people kept calling them from the county jail. Apparently people in jails do that a lot. They will call random numbers and try to get people to answer.
