Hello Jello

Goodbye Pudding

Yes, I really am old enough to be a substitute teacher.

Friday was my first day as a subsitute teacher. I was called after school already started. The lady on the phone asked if I was busy. I said no. She asked how soon I could get there. The middle school I had to go to was really close so that was good. When I went to the office I walked in and told the people there who I was and they had kind of an odd look on thier face. (1st time I thought the title)

I was there at the end of first hour/period/class/ whatever you want to call it. The lady who was there before me told me what she did and left. There were mumbles of she’s our sub/she can’t be a sub and confused faces. (2nd time I thought it)

Two of the classes had another teacher there so I didn’t actually have to do much with the students. I during the two class periods I graded papers.

During the last class I had to go to a different room. The other classes were 7th graders. This one was 8th. When I walked in there was more surprise and I once again thought the title of this post.

One thing I learned is students really need to not laugh when subs mispronounce someones name. During one of the classes I had to do it. The names were written by the teacher and not on a computer. I couldn’t really read her handwriting so trying to figure out thier names was kind of difficult.

It was kind of wierd be a teacher in a school that I used to be a student at. It also seemed odd having people call me Ms. Last Name.

Holidays

I’m kind of sad that Halloween is over. Wearing a costume and seeing what others are wearing and handing out candy and going to a costume party is kind of fun.

I really like Christmas and Thanksgiving so Yay! for those being closer then before.

Saturday night I saw someone putting up thier Christmas tree. It seems a little early for that. What is with people wanting to skip Halloween and thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas?

I really like seeing houses all decorated for christmas. Yay! for that. I wish more people decorated for Halloween the same way they decorate for Christmas.

House & Puppy & Kitty sitting.

Parents went away to Florida for the week. Left on Sunday before Halloween. Came back on Sunday after Halloween.

Sunday October 25: Mom woke me up before they left to say bye and stuff. J came to visit after church for a little bit. Luckily the dogs didn’t jump on him since he was all dressed nice. Did some laundry. Had a ton of laundry to do, but only did one load. J came over later and we watched ghost busters. I love the giant marshmellow guy. When I went to bed I found out my bed is not very roomy when there are two dogs and a cat who want to lay in bed with you.

Monday October 26: Arguing sucks. Really really sucks. When they don’t actually get talked about and fixed it kind of really sucks. Watched Ghost Busters 2. I forgot what this one was about. All I could remember is there was a baby. I liked it. I still like the marshmellow guy the best.

Tuesday October 27: Watched Halloweentown 1 & 2. I love Disney tv movies. Did some more laundry. Tried to figure out what I needed for my Halloween costume still.

Wednesday October 28: Stayed home by myself with the puppies. Didn’t do much.

Thursday October 29: Cleaned my car with J. It was kind of gross. I kind of hate having to clean a car that I didn’t dirty, but it looks good now so oh well. Went to the halloween store and bought the rest of my costume. I just have to glue some stuff together and then it will be all good. Watched scary tv stuff. It stormed for a little bit. Puppy was scared of thunder. Sad face. When I went to bed he smooshed himself right next to me.

Friday October 30: More laundry. Nailpolish was peeling off so I finally got around to taking it off. Was really hard to get off. Ended up pouring the nail polish remover in the lid and putting my nails in there. Even doing that it was hard to get it to come off. Justin came over later to glue my costume together. We had to glue some earrings to my garters since we couldn’t find any that I liked.

Saturday October 31: Yay! Halloween! I love Halloween. Most people like going out, but I think I like passing out candy and seeing little kids in costumes. My cousin came over to trick or treat in my neighborhood. I had to put the puppies in the basement as soon as I saw people walking outside. We didn’t get as many people as we usually get. Not sure why. After handing out candy Justin and I left to go to a party. Justin was the only person I knew and there was a friend of his there that I met once before. It was a funish party. I think I would have liked it better if I knew more people. I also would have liked it better if I was more comfortable talking to people I don’t know.

I kind of like the slutty costumes

Pretty much every website I look at has people talking about how sexy halloween costumes are bad. I kind of have to disagree. I think some of the costumes are really cute. This year my costume is a pirate. One of the funny things is that I have seen it called multiple things. It is named either sexy pirate or sexy pirate wench. I bought it when I was with my mom and grandma. Both of them liked my costume. A lot of the “slutty” costumes don’t even look very slutty.  I don’t get what the problem is if someone wants to wear a costume that looks like that. Why is it bad? Anyways, the costumes don’t exactly cover a whole lot of your body, but I still don’t think they are slutty.

Finally getting my license.

I kind of hate driving. After 22 years I finally got it. Yay. The test had to be rescheduled a few times because it was really rainy the days of my other tests. The first time I went there my mom and I thought I had to take a written test. Apparently the only written test you need is to get a permit and not the license. That was kind of nice. During my test I did a few things wrong but I still passed. I think it would be difficult to not pass.
